Biografía

ADAM GILES LEVY
Barefoot singer-songwriter from Frimley Green, England.
The release of Adam Giles Levy’s second EP, “Peninsula” (2018) was the catalyst for a year of
European touring, with support for Steve Hackett’s, “Genesis Revisited” show at the Pordenone
Blues Festival (Italy), the highlight.
The “Peninsula Tour” has so far included performances across eight European countries and
appearances at festivals including Weyfest (UK), Dresden Jazztage (Germany) and (a)phonica (Spain).
Single, “The Ghosts” received radio airplay from Kathy Caton on BBC Sussex and Melita Dennett on
BBC Music Introducing The South. The official video for “The Ghosts” was recorded on location near
Barcelona.
With “Peninsula”
Adam Giles Levy has created an album which draws on the esoteric, alternative
blues influence of artists such as Robert Plant and Fink that he so loves. Whether writing about the
power of the ocean or capturing the ephemeral beauty of a dream, these emotive songs are explosive
and elegant in equal measure.
The recording of “Peninsula” was a truly international affair. Adam was joined in the studio (Estudis
Ground, Girona) by Canadian producer, and long time collaborator, Alex Gamble and a select trio of
regular collaborating musicians. Looking to capture the immediacy of a live performance, much of
this new record was recorded in single takes. The result is a rawness hard to capture through over-
production.
“Peninsula” was made possible by a successful crowdfunding campaign which brought together a
community of fans from three continents. Commissioned for, and inspired by the album, the artwork
was created by Vancouver based artist, Anders Petersen.
Adam grew up in Frimley Green, a small town in southern England famous for hosting the “World
Darts Championship”. After pursuing a career in law which led him, via Bristol to the City of London,
Adam took a leap of faith, left the profession and moved to Vancouver in 2012. This was the ground
zero his music career called for. While in Vancouver Adam spent time honing his art and formed
writing partnership, “Coloured Sky” whose eponymous debut EP was published by Anthem Records,
Toronto (2013). Adam also met current producer, Alex Gamble. Together they recorded two demos
during night sessions at Nimbus School of Recording and subsequently Adam’s debut EP,
“Unravelled” (2016) at Greenhouse Studios.
Since the release of his debut, “Unravelled”, Adam has embraced life on the road, playing countless
headline shows while also supporting artists like Mike Dawes (UK), Newton Faulkner (UK), Noah
Gundersen (US), William Fitzsimmons (US) and Steve Hackett (UK) along the way
